Environmental/Group Assessment

Starting from $450 +tax

An environmental assessment assesses the area in which behaviour occurs in segregated settings such as child cares; schools; shelters or group homes.

An overview of the environment contingencies that may be affecting behaviour.

This assessment includes:
• Up to 5 hours of service
• Informal interviews with staff, parents, caregivers or guardians
• Direct Observation of the area in use

What you will receive:
• A report on the information gathered, problems discussed and recommendations around environmental contingencies and ideas around positive changes to the environment.

Individual Assessment

Starting from $900 +tax

A functional behaviour assessment of the child in their environment(s) including home, school, and community programs.

Choose this package if you consider the child/person’s behaviour to be minor as defined by not causing severe injury and is not a safety concern.

This assessment includes:
• Up to 10 hours of service
• Observation of the child (video or in person)
• Functional interview with parent(s) and other significant care members
• Data collection and monitoring
• Modelling and coaching for parents/staff/caregivers
• Functional Analysis if needed
• Functional behaviour support plan that can be shared with other people in the child’s life (child care or school).

What you will receive:
• Functional Behaviour Assessment Report that includes:
o Information that was gathered
o Effective strategies to reduce or prevent the behaviour
o Results of the data collection
o Recommendations for continuing to move forward
o Modelling and Coaching for caregivers using Behaviour Skills Training when required
o Functional Analysis if required
o Follow up in 3 months from implementation of the plan

Individual Assessment of Severe Behaviours

Starting from $1600 +tax

Choose this package for serious behaviours that may cause harm physically or emotionally such as severe aggression, behaviours around sexuality or safety concerns such as leaving the environment.

Package C includes up to 20 hours of service. This will include observation of the child/youth/adult in person or via video, functional interview with parent(s) and significant caregivers, review of data collected, a full report and functional behaviour support plan that can be shared with other people in the child’s life (child care or school). This will also include modelling and coaching for parents and others involved in the direct care of the child through in person visits. This may also include a functional analysis if needed.
Choose this package if you consider the child/persons behaviour to be a safety concern (e.g. Self- injurious behaviour that causes moderate to severe injury; intense aggression; absconding from the environment).

What you will receive:
• Functional Behaviour Assessment Report that includes:
o Information that was gathered via direct and indirect assessments
o Effective strategies to reduce or prevent the behaviour
o Results of the data collection
o Recommendations for continuing to move forward
o Modelling and Coaching for caregivers using Behaviour Skills Training when required
o Functional Analysis if required

BCBA Supervision

$90/hour

As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, I am able to provide supervision to those looking to obtain hours to become board certified through the BACB. The number of hours per month for supervision is based on how many hour you work in a setting that is consider acceptable to obtain hours. For example, working the maximum of 130 hours per month = 6.5 hours of supervision per month (based on the current BACB requirements).

Therapeutic Conversations $40/45min.

This service is an excellent option if you need to facilitate conversations with your child or teenager. Christine has been a Child and Youth Care Practitioner for over 20 years and will come to your home or a common place to facilitate conversations between you and your teenager and find a common ground. How to be a Behavioural detective!

Have you ever been asked to ‘take data’ or wondered why and what the benefits will be? This workshop will be informative and beneficial for either your professional life or personal life. Taking data does not have to be time-consuming and you will be able to understand the benefits of objective information to change yours or others’ behaviour. A case study will also be provided and a discussion around how to measure behavior and what data system to use will be discussed.

Pave the Way for School-agers

This workshop will provide some tools and ideas around Group Contingencies and how to get the most from your school agers by reinforcing prosocial behaviour. During this workshop, you will brainstorm and build on ideas around creating a fun and exciting programming (summer/march break/holiday break).

The 4 Functions of Behaviour

This workshop will provide information about the 4 functions of behaviour: Attention, Escape/Avoidance, Sensory and Tangible.  Effective interventions that work in every day like will be provide for each function of behaviour.

If I Can; You Can! Self- Management program – changing your behaviour one step at a time

Have you asked or wanted others to change their behaviour? Have you noticed how your behaviour impacts others? Understanding the components of changing your behaviour can assist you in helping others change theirs as well.

The Self Management: If I Can, You Can workshop will provide you with all you need to develop your own self-management program to be successful. This workshop will introduce you to the components of a self-management program and teach you how to work with the environment, reduce your response effort, and more to meet your goals.

If interested there will be an opportunity for a follow-up component – if you would be interested in the follow up component please email Christine at CTbehaviourconsulting@gmail.com and discuss when you would like to begin your self-management program. Three phone calls (15-20mins) per call will be provided over the 6-week period to discuss progress; make changes where needed and any other support you may need. This follow-up will cost an additional $25.

ABC's of Common Childhood Behaviours

This workshop is design for professionals or parents and will discuss non-coompliance, self-regulation, tantruming & extinction bursts in children while  providing effective interventions anyone can use!
